Who we are?

We are a local tourism business, started in 2018, with the objective to open our doors to all the people who would like to get to know, learn and enjoy the countryside and the rural culture in Patagonia. Through unique experiences like traditional barbecues and horse rides, with incredible landscape and views, and only minutes from the town of Puerto Natales .

To share our space in Patagonia through open air activities, transmitting the values of rural life, in an authentic environment, of freedom and tranquillity, to enrich the life of our visitors through living the experience.

History

The Llaneza – Suarez family emigrated from Spain, to settle in Puerto Natales, between the years of 1927 and 1931. Initially working in a local bakery business, they later moved to a country property close to town dedicating themselves to rural work and supplying the town with fresh milk.

After the agrarian reform, they managed to obtain these lands and work them for livestock and agriculture through the production of cattle, sheep, dairy farming and planting vegetables.

Montserrat Garay

Born in Magallanes, Montserrat has been in contact with country life and horses from a very young age. Starting out by helping her grandparents and her father, rural life has become a passion. Being the third generation of a family descending from Spain, she studied nursing and later specialised in equine therapy, combining her two passions. Being one of only a few females who compete in the Chilean rodeo, she decided to dedicate herself 100% to life in the countryside and to horses. She offers the opportunity to anyone who is interested in getting to know her beloved Patagonia through life in the countryside, being in contact with animals and showing respect for nature. Montserrat will be the one to organize your experience and guide your horse ride.

Johanel Ovando

Johanel is a cowboy (gaucho) through and through. Born and bred in Puerto Natales, he has dedicated his life to work at various large ranches in Patagonia. He studied tourism and has worked as a cowboy and horse riding guide. Despite his young age, he has extensive experience in taming and training horses, and caring for sheep and cattle. His hobby is competing in the ‘Jineteada’: riding wild horses. Más conocido como Murci, será quien los mantendrá seguros, guiará en los paseos a caballo y si deseas puede mostrarte sus habilidades con los perros ovejeros.

Héctor Garay Llaneza

Born in Puerto Natales, Héctor, known as Kiko, a rancher and truck driver from the second generation of Spanish settlers, is the owner of the ranch. He has dedicated his life to raising cattle, working on the property and caring for pure bred Chilean horses. He was recently recognized by the Rodeo Association of Magallanes for his selfless dedication, passion and concern, for the horses no longer used in competition, offering them to live out their last years in life in peace and freedom. If you see him on the ranch, he is always ready to share his endless stories about life in Patagonia.

Catalina Garay

Born in Punta Arenas and raised in Puerto Natales, Catalina studied culinary art and completed post graduate studies in Florence, Italy, and is a pastry lover. She is the one who will prepare the delicious afternoon teas on Sundays.

Eliana Ramos

Eliana is a nutritionist with more than 30 years of experience in the administration of food services. Settled in Puerto Natales for more than 35 years, our mother and guide in all of our projects. She will be in charge of welcoming and looking after you at afternoon tea.
